graduates from each buncombe county schools, seated at Harrah's Cherokee Center, tossing their hats as they are declared graduates

Congratulations to our mid-year graduates from Buncombe County Schools! Saturday, January 27th at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in downtown Asheville, our students walked the stage and embarked on the next chapter of their lives. We are so proud of all of our grads. Here’s to the initial class of 2024!

Over 210 graduates walked Saturday, the most we've ever had at a mid-year graduation, representing Owen, T.C. Roberson, A.C. Reynolds, Erwin, Enka, North Buncombe, and Community High Schools, as well as Nesbitt Discovery Academy, BCS Early and Middle College, and the BCS Virtual Academy.

"BCS mid-year graduation was a beautiful celebration of the many years of hard work and dedication of our graduates," said Associate Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Reed. "I am so proud of each of them and wish them the best as they apply the knowledge and skills learned as BCS students to their future endeavors."

Photos of graduation can be found here! We will continue to add photos during the week of each student as they walked across the stage.
