Decades behind a mic and in front of a camera brought storyteller Ken Ulmer to the head of the class. He spent 25 years in radio and TV, including hosting Road Trippin’ and Spotlight Carolina for WLOS-TV, and hosting mornings and afternoons on Mix 96.5. In 2020, Ken shared his communications skills with a new audience - the students of A.C. Reynolds High School. He spent four years there teaching Marketing, and served as an advisor to the school’s DECA chapter, mentoring students interested in marketing and communications careers.

In 2024, Ken joined the BCS Communications team, where he’s combined his media and classroom experience to help spotlight the amazing things happening everyday throughout our school district.

Ken is also a BCS parent, with a high school daughter and middle school son who are both involved in their school bands.
