ESL
Oakley Elementary School's English as a Second Language (ESL) program is currently serving 105 students, grades K-5. The ESL pull-out program provides daily English language instruction for students whose first language is not English.
"Celebrate Diversity" is a big priority at Oakley, the goal is to help students achieve success through a stress free environment using many strategies and a variety of activities to promote linguistic and cognitive development. Students remain in the program until they show superior skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Oakley represents the following countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Latvia, China, Philippines, Mexico, Brazil,El Salvador, Peru, Honduras, and Puerto Rico.
