Football
Despite a heartbreaking loss to the #3 seed, Mt. Tabor, in the second round of the 3AA state playoffs, the 2018 Warrior football team had a wildly successful season. As reported by the Asheville Citizen-Times, this was "the fourth Erwin squad in history to secure a 10-win season [and] the first since 2010." You can read the full article here.

The varsity squad was also featured as part of The Come Up, a web series by gear company Xenith. You can see all of the episodes and clips here.

The JV squad also made history by taking the conference title for the first time since 1999.

Women's Tennis
After a number of years without a tennis program, sophomore Gabby Fowler competed as a single at the regional level. A doubles team made it that far around 10 years ago, but this is the first time anyone can remember a singles player going to regionals.

Volleyball
Kaitlyn Messer was named to the All Conference team, and Allie Jones was given an honorable mention.

Men's Soccer
The Warrior men's soccer team had a stellar season in 2018. This graduating senior class won 37 games in the last three years and highlighted this year with a win over powerhouse Reynolds at Reynolds, the first time anyone can remember that happening. They concluded the season with a deep run in the state playoffs, starting with knocking off the #2 seed in the first round.

Cross Country
Cross Country has been in a period of transition for the last several years. This season saw numerous personal records broken and friendships and new lifestyles formed. Senior Jaiden Bartley is the first four year runner in a number of years and plans to run in college.
