Academic Support

Course Description 
Academic Support is a course that is designed to meet students' individual needs as outlined in their IEP. Students will receive direct, individualized instruction in the following areas:
Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Organizational/ Study Skills, Social/ Emotional Skills. 
Students will be provided with class assignments designed to re-mediate areas in which there are deficits in order to make progress towards their IEP goals. 
A portion of the class will be set aside each day for students to complete missing homework or class assignments. However, students should plan accordingly to allow for adequate time to complete homework assignments outside of the school day.

Google Classroom 
Course assignments will be assigned through Google Classroom. Students have access to Google Classroom through their IAM (ncedcloud) account. Students can use their school provided devices or cellphones to access their account.

1. Click here to access their IAM account. 
2. Once logged in, click on the "g" (Google Tile). Students will then be logged into their school Google account. 
3. Click on the "waffle" (tiles in the top right hand corner) to access the Google apps.
4. Click on the Blackboard which represents Google Classroom. 
5. All class assignments can be accessed by navigating the tool bar on the left side of the screen. 

Students will learn how to access Google Classroom during class, but it can be accessed at any time.
