Stapleton, Laina - Librarian

The book is a film that takes place in the mind of the reader."

I am a former high school English teacher turned librarian. I was raised on a lemon and avocado ranch in Southern California but went to high school in Charlotte, NC. I attended UNC-Asheville, where I majored in Literature and Education, then taught six years of English at T.C. Roberson High School. I left to go to grad school at UNC-Chapel Hill and received my Masters in Library Science in 2013. I spent one year back in Charlotte as the librarian at an alternative school there, but I was extremely happy to be able to move back to Asheville in the summer of 2014 and to join the staff at Erwin High School shortly thereafter. I have twin boys who were born in 2016 who keep me on my toes, but I still find time to read, play soccer, and get outside as often as possible.

You can follow my reading, including reviews, on Goodreads.

I also have a resource for my favorite books from each year of reading, begun in 2012.
