Course Overview
OCS Introduction to Mathematics provides students the opportunity to study the traditional topics in a problem centered and connected approach. Appropriate technology (manipulatives, calculators, and computers) will be used regularly for instruction and assessment.

- Probability and Statistics

We will discuss the expectations in detail on the first day of class and review as necessary.
Make Up Work
Please make an effort to contact Mrs. Osborne before or after class to acquire missed assignments. All missing work is due within five school days after the student returns.
Assessment/Grades
Students will take an Introduction to Math I teacher made final exam. Each nine week grade counts as 45% of a student’s semester average. The final exam will count as 10% of the semester average.
- 1st nine weeks final grade 45%
- 2nd nine weeks final grade 45%
- Teacher Made Final Exam 10%
Students will receive grades in each of the following areas:
- Tests
- Classwork
- Quizzes
- Participation
