Course Overview
Academic Support is a course that is designed to meet students' individual needs as outlined in their IEP. Students will receive direct, individualized instruction in the following areas: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Organizational/ Study Skills, Social/ Emotional Skills. Students will be provided with class assignments designed to remediate areas in which there are deficits in order to make progress towards their IEP goals. 
A portion of the class will be set aside each day for students to complete missing homework or class assignments. However, students should plan accordingly to allow for adequate time to complete homework assignments outside of the school day.

We will discuss the expectations in detail on the first day of class and review as necessary.


Late / Incomplete Work

All assignments should be completed and turned in on time.  Incomplete assignments will be returned to the student to finish.  Students may make corrections to improve quiz or class assignment grades and will receive half credit on all correctly answered questions.  Students may access daily assignments on Google Classroom. 



Students will complete weekly and daily assignments.  Students will also receive a participation grade for being on task, completing required assignments, and having his/her assigned laptop and charger each day.

  • Classroom assignments
  • Quizzes
  • Participation
