Early Childhood Education I and II Honors: These courses focus on preparing students to work with young children from infancy to age twelve in early education and child care settings. Major areas of study include personal and professional growth, the early childhood education profession; child development from birth to age twelve; developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum building; health, safety and guidance; and opportunities in early childhood education. Students complete semester long internships in the Clyde A. Erwin Child Care Center in addition to each of these classes.
