Welcome to my Classroom CW3 (RETIRED) Tony Gutierrez 



JROTC SENIOR ARMY  INSTRUCTOR I am married and have a daughter. I am originally from Orange County, California.  I grew up in Southern California and various parts of Baja California, Coahuila, and Mexico City.   I have traveled around the world in both directions dozens of times.  I am fortunate to have visited or trained in over 50 different countries on 5 continents.  I have been a resident of North Carolina for the past 33 years.   I teach all LET levels in JROTC for Erwin.  I have taught JROTC for 14 years.  I have been at 2 other programs.  I was the Senior Army Instructor at Chester High School, in Chester, SC for three years.  I also taught one year as an Army Instructor at Freedom/Patton High Schools, in Morganton, NC.  I am a retired Quartermaster Officer.  I served 20 years,  4 months on, 3 days, and 45 minutes on active duty jumping out of airplanes.  my first 10 years enlisted before becoming an Army Warrant Officer.  I have been awarded Master Parachutist Wings, multiple Foreign Parachutist Wings, the Army Ranger Tab, and numerous awards for service or achievement while in garrison and deployed.   

I am a graduate of Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC.  I was awarded a Baccalaureate of Arts in Business Administration. 

My hobbies include playing golf and motivating cadets.
