I  have been married to a Carolina girl for 34 years.  I have a 21 year old daughter in college and I take care of her two dogs.  I am originally from Orange County, California ("The OC").  I grew up in Southern California and various parts of Baja California, Coahuila, and Mexico City, Mexico.   I have traveled around the world in both directions dozens of times.  I am fortunate to have vacationed or trained in over 50 different countries on 5 continents.  I have been a resident of North Carolina for the past 36 years.

I teach all LET levels in JROTC for CA Erwin HS.  I have taught JROTC for 16 years.  I have been at 2 other programs.  I was the Senior Army Instructor at Chester High School, in Chester, SC.  I also taught as an Army Instructor at Freedom/Patton High Schools, in Morganton, NC.   I filled in for the Spanish teacher at Chester High School for 1 semester to teach Spanish I and II.  I have coached orienteering, drill, rifle, both boys/girls golf teams, and I am currently the girls' cross country coach.

I am a retired Quartermaster Warrant Officer.  I served 20 years, 4 months on active duty jumping out of a variety of military and civilian aircraft.  My first 10 years as an enlisted paratrooper, then applying and becoming an Army Warrant Officer.  I have been awarded the US Army Ranger tab, US Master Parachutist Wings, multiple Foreign Master Parachutist Wings, and numerous awards for service or achievement while in garrison and deployed.
I am a graduate of  Santa Ana High School and Santa Ana College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts before entering the Army.  I  graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC.  I earned a Baccalaureate of Arts in Business Administration from Methodist College, go Monarchs!
