Tellez, Frank - Social Studies
Welcome To My Classroom
Frank R. Tellez

Welcome Students, Parents, Colleagues, and All!
My name is Frank R. Tellez
(pronounced tay-is).

This is my fourth year at Erwin High School. I am excited to teach World History, Honors World History, American I, and American I Honors to our Erwin High School Students.
I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico where I taught American History, World History, and Government for 13 years.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, a Master's Degree in American History, and I  earned my Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies with concentrations in Critical Race Theory, Social Justice in Education, Educational Leadership, and Western American History.

I look forward to sharing "Stories of the Past' to inspire you into understanding the importance and relevance of World and American History.

You will learn to decode, analyze, and critique the events and decisions made by our past leaders so that you can learn from their successes or mistakes.  This will allow you to assume your rightful niche in society as one of  'our leaders of tomorrow.'

The ride will be enlightening and exciting. So students, get on board, let us begin our journey to understanding the past, learning from our history so that WE can make the world a better place for EVERYONE
