Hello My Name Is...

Ms. Rousseau-Cavender


Most of my students call me Ms. RC. I am happy to be teaching strings in the Erwin District.

My primary instruments are violin and viola but I can also play some bass and cello. 
I grew up in a family of string players/teachers/performers.

I have two daughters, one in middle school and one in high school. One plays violin, the other is a percussionist.
My favorite hobbies are running, hiking and following my favorite baseball team.

Erwin Middle and High students will be performing in the auditorium at Erwin High School at 6:30 on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018.  

We will soon be preparing students for All County. Students who are selected and choose to participate should mark the following dates on their calendars.

Monday, April 1

Sectional rehearsal at Valley Springs Middle School from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Students should arrive at Valley Springs by 6:15 to unpack and tune.

Thursday, April 25

Full evening rehearsal at Erwin High School from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Students will need to be picked up at Erwin High at 8:00 p.m. A Pizza dinner will be provided for students at no cost

Friday, April 26

All-day Field Trip and Concert Students will spend the day rehearsing at Erwin High. Lunch will be in the Erwin cafeteria, and students can use their lunch number or pack a lunch from home. Students will stay at Erwin and have dinner at 5:00. Student dinner will be Chick Fil A or they can pack a dinner from home. The Final Concert is free and open to the public and will be at  6:00 p.m. at Erwin High School.

Our Atlanta Trip for is March 7-8 for those participating.

Our Spring Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 6:30 PM
